STOCK PLAN REVISIONS

CUSTOM DESIGNS

Often, we are asked to make changes to plans to suit specific client requirements. Changes may include increasing the size of a plan, changing the foundation to a walk-out basement or altering the floor plan. In the majority of cases, these changes can be done quickly and easily as our plans are prepared using computer assisted drafting.

The customization process begins with you. We ask that you provide us with a list of your desired changes. After reviewing your list, we will provide you with an estimate of the time required to prepare preliminary drawings and to revise the working drawings. Custom changes to plans are billed on an hourly basis based on the estimate of the time required to make your changes. Please contact our office for current hourly rates. We request that you make a deposit equal to the purchase price of the plans before we begin your custom changes. When we ship your completed and revised plans we will also invoice you for the time required to complete the custom changes.

The preliminary drawing stage of customization begins with the changes of the elevations and the floor plans. After this stage is complete, we will fax, e-mail or mail these changes to you for your review. During your review you are to note any further changes and return them to us. When we receive your final approval of the preliminary drawings, we begin the working drawing stage. During the working drawing stage, the final changes are made to all of the drawings, including floor framing, foundation plan, electrical plan, building sections and other details (see Ordering Info for more details). Upon completion of the working drawings you will receive ten sets of drawings along with your final invoice for the custom changes. If you have any questions during any part of the customization process, please contact us.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

The Robinson Residential Design philosophy is client focused. Good design evolves from a base of understanding a client’s sense of priorities and compromises. This may include size versus finish, type of construction, depth of detail and quality of materials. The strength of the Robinson design team is in designing a functional and beautiful living space, while dealing with the constraints of budgetary requirements and the compromises involved in all home design.
